We probably all remember where we were when the planes flew into the World Trade Center eight years ago.
But do we remember what we did afteward? As a nation we filled the churches. We sought comfort from our faiths and our neighbors. We stood fast ready to combat the evil that had confronted us.

Are we still doing that today?

How quickly we forget. I can't tell you how mamy times I heard, "God Bless America" sung. When was the last time you heard it? As a country we were strong and together, now we are weak and separated. How many go to church? I'd be embarassed to say how many of my own family don't, but I keep praying. Some of the Bible stories remind me so much of these times, it is scary. Only time will tell. Love, Ma
I took an image of NYC before the attack, superimposed the US flag and merged the two. Then I combined the picture with a personal prayer for our country. Laminated it and say it each Saturday at Adoration. Helps me remember. This attack changed the direction and focus of this country and now a new Administration is trying to radically move so far away from it. It will surely mean a repeat of history.
On that day, 9/11/01 I said the Chaplet of Diving Mercy on the drive to work. I pray those prayers were used for the victims. I pray for them also each Saturday when I recite my own prayer list.
Shows the impact one event can have on a single life, that of my spiritual life.
Won't even go into the financial impact that event had with which I have yet to recover. - Steve
