On this, Memorial Day, I want to thank all of you who have offered their service, their sacrifice and possibly your life in the defense of this country. Without brave men and women willing to defend out freedom with their lives, we would not be here today.
No amount of words can fully express my thanks, especially to my father, Charles Bauer, Sr., my brother, Stephen Bauer, my father-in-law, Donald Koehler, my brother-in-law, Patrick Freshour and his father, Arnold Freshour, who all served in the armed forces.
In a country that has turned heroic military bravery and sacrifice into a campaign slogan, let me say from a vastly more sincere heart... thank you, thank you, thank you!
